In this episode of Coastal Heritage, we explore the history of the Wayfarers Chapel, an iconic landmark, also known as ‘The Glass Church’, and nestled in between towering redwoods on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The construction of the natural sanctuary was delayed by the Great Depression and onset of World War II but despite its setbacks architect Lloyd Wright took on the project eventually crafting a masterpiece many have enjoyed since its opening in 1951.
